Pioppino, Heilpilz Südlicher Ackerling (Cyclocybe cylindracea)

Der Pioppino (Cyclocybe cylindracea, früher Agrocybe aegerita oder Agrocybe cylindracea) ist ein in Europa heimischer Speisepilz, der vor allem auf totem oder geschwächtem Laubholz von Pappeln, Weiden und anderen weichen Holzarten wächst. Er ist bekannt für seinen mild-würzigen Geschmack und seine fleischig-weiche Konsistenz. Gleichzeitig zählt er zu den Pilzen mit einer der umfangreichsten wissenschaftlichen Datenlage (ca. 150–200 Studien, viele davon unter dem alten Namen Agrocybe aegerita).

Traditionelle Heilkunde

In der Traditionellen Chinesischen Medizin (TCM) wird der Pioppino (chinesisch: Chá Shù Gū) seit Jahrhunderten verwendet. Klassische Anwendungen sind:

  • bei Harnsäure-Problemen (Hyperurikämie) und leichten Wassereinlagerungen.
  • als Diuretikum (harntreibend) bei Ödemen und Wassereinlagerungen,
  • als Tonikum für Magen, Milz und Nieren zur Stärkung der Verdauung und Unterstützung der Nierenfunktion.

Wirkstoffe und moderne Forschung

Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Polysaccharide (z. B. ACP und Fucogalactan), Lektine, Sterole und weitere sekundäre Metaboliten. Diese Inhaltsstoffe zeigen in Studien vielfältige Effekte auf Immunsystem, Entzündungsprozesse und Stoffwechsel.

Kernthema: Die Darm-Leber-Achse (Gut-Liver-Axis)

Die Darm-Leber-Achse beschreibt die enge, bidirektionale Verbindung zwischen Darmmikrobiota, Darmbarriere und Leber. Eine gestörte Darmbarriere kann Entzündungsbotenstoffe und bakterielle Bestandteile in die Leber gelangen lassen, was chronische Entzündungen, Leberbelastung, Fettstoffwechselstörungen und systemische Immunungleichgewichte fördert.

Die Polysaccharide des Pioppino wirken hier besonders stark: Sie stärken die Darmbarriere, modulieren die Darmflora, hemmen Entzündungsprozesse und stellen die Immunhomöostase über die Darm-Leber-Achse wieder her. Dies macht den Pioppino zu einem der interessantesten Pilze bei entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen, Stoffwechselproblemen und Leber-Gesundheit.

Pioppino als bester Pilz bei Hautabschürfungen und Wundheilung

Eine Laborstudie der Universität Belgrad aus dem Jahr 2024 hat eindrucksvoll gezeigt, dass wässrige Polysaccharid-Extrakte des Pioppino im standardisierten Scratch-Wound-Assay (künstliche Wunde in einer menschlichen Hautzell-Schicht) die Wunde bereits innerhalb von nur 24 Stunden vollständig schließen.

Zusätzlich wirken die Extrakte stark antibakteriell (u. a. gegen Staphylococcus aureus, einen häufigen Erreger infizierter Schürfwunden) und entzündungshemmend.

Im direkten Vergleich mit anderen Heilpilzen (u. a. Austernseitling, Reishi, Judasohr, Champignon etc.) landet der Pioppino klar auf Platz 1 bei der Wundheilung. Der heiße Wasserauszug (Dekokt) hat sich dabei als besonders wirksam erwiesen.
